General
In 2007, we began aggregating nationwide lending data from public sources (primarily HUD and GNMA) and directly from lenders and servicers through our Data Repository service (Retail Originators, Repository anchor). We currently maintain the largest reverse mortgage data set in the country and are growing it every month.
The data sets in our tools are updated at least once every month, with some repository reports updated weekly. The date of the last update is always shown at the bottom of the dashboard.
Monthly subscriptions and feature selections can be customized to your team’s specific needs. Contact us to learn more. (Contact, Book Appointment anchor)
RMI software and data are maintained, updated regularly and stored securely on the cloud. All you need to access our tools are a web browser and a subscription!
There are many browsers with many different versions out there, and its very difficult to support all of them. Our policy is to support the two most recent versions of the main browser options (IE, Chrome, and Firefox).
The RMI Dashboard is most compatible with the following:
- Google Chrome
- Versions 45 and above
- Firefox
- Internet Explorer
- Versions 10 and 11
Yes. Our API is free with dashboard subscription or can be purchased on its own. With it, you can access the most accurate and comprehensive database in the industry, and pull our individual data sets into your own tools to maximize your sales and marketing performance.
The RMI Dashboard uses modern web technology to generate charts, tables, and interactivity. Sometimes ad blockers or script blockers will interfere with the scripts required to run our website.
If you are running either one, please whitelist or disable them on the RMI Dashboard website.
Much of the information that is available to you is determined when you login. If you are having issues with a report not showing up as expected, please logout and then log back into the site. It also sometimes helps to refresh your browser when you logout (F5 on windows systems; CMD + R on mac).
Your username is your email address associated with the company you work for. Look for the welcome email from RMI Support to verify the account used on our system.
Click on the “forgot password” link on the main login page. A link will be sent to your email address that will allow you to reset your password.
Retail Originators
There are several ways to accomplish this.
- Use the Scorecard to view your territory (or define one if you have subscribed to that capability). The zip code table shows you your market share in each zip, as well as your total market share in the overall territory.
- Use the Market Opportunity Report (MOR) and view your market share by state, county, city, and zip, or view your Scorecard territories within the MOR. Either way, your market share is calculated at each level of view.
In the Market Opportunity Report under the “Retail” tab, sort the report by the MCA column. You may then filter the result set to only include those areas that have average Maximum Claim Amounts (MCA) greater than your desired threshold.
In non-reporting states, the best way to approximate home values is to use Maximum Claim Amount (MCA). We provide MCA values on our Market Opportunity and Snapshot reports.
If your market is local, the best way to do this is to use the Scorecard. All competitors who have written a loan are shown in the lenders table on the left. You can drill down into the data by selecting a zip code to see the competition in a particular zip, or, conversely, select a lender from the table to see all of the zip codes they had activity in during the selected time frame.
If your market is broader, use the Snapshot report to get a view of the competition at the national, state, and county levels. Click on a state in the map to view state values, or, select a state from the dropdown and click on a county to see the county breakdowns.
All columns are sortable in the Dashboard, regardless of which report you are looking at. Click on the column name and it will resort in ascending, descending, or default order.
You can filter columns when you see this icon: Click on the button and available filter options will show up.
Our system is designed to answer the most common questions we hear from our customers. If you have specific analytics you want to do, we offer the ability to export our data in Excel format.
Click on the “Export to Excel” button at the top left of the table and a file will be downloaded to your desktop.
Wholesale Lenders
Click the filter button on the originator column in the list of partners to open up the filter dialog. Start typing the name of the partner you are searching for in the search box. You will then start to see choices who fit that name appear. Check which one you’d like to look at and apply the filter.
